Who we are and what this policy covers
Uncain, Inc. is responsible for the personal information described in this policy. This policy applies when you browse uncain.ai, contact us about this site, or subscribe to Drift Report.
It does not yet describe the data practices of an authenticated Uncain service that connects to repositories, workflows, agents, or other customer systems. We will provide the applicable product notices and contracts before that processing begins.
Information we collect
We collect information you provide and limited technical information needed to operate and secure the site.
- Drift Report details: your work email, plus your name and company if you choose to provide them.
- Request and device information: information ordinarily included in a web request, such as IP address, browser and device characteristics, requested page, referring page, and timestamps, as processed by our hosting and security provider.
- Integrity signals: a keyed, one-way hash derived from the requesting IP address, a short-lived rate-limit record, and the result of Cloudflare Turnstile verification. We send the Turnstile response and requesting IP address to Cloudflare for verification.
- Communications: information in messages you send us and records needed to respond to requests or manage your subscription.
How and why we use information
We use personal information to deliver the publication you request, operate the site, respond to you, understand and prevent abuse, maintain security, diagnose faults, enforce our terms, and meet legal obligations.
Where European or UK data-protection law applies, we rely on your consent to send Drift Report; our legitimate interests in operating, securing, and improving the site where those interests are not overridden by your rights; and legal obligations where processing is required by law. You may withdraw consent to Drift Report at any time.
AI and automated decisions
The public website does not send your Drift Report form entries to a generative AI model. It does not use those entries to make a decision that produces legal or similarly significant effects about you.
Uncain is developing software that may perform deterministic and model-assisted analysis of software-delivery artifacts. Before an authenticated service accesses repositories, workflow context, model inputs, generated remediation, or automated containment controls, separate product terms and notices will define the authorized access, human review, data handling, subprocessors, retention, limitations, and available override or approval controls. Website copy is not authorization for Uncain to access or act in your systems.
How long we keep information
Rate-limit counters expire after approximately one hour. We keep a Drift Report subscription record while the subscription is active and then only as long as reasonably needed to honor opt-outs, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, meet legal obligations, and maintain necessary records. The keyed IP hash stored with a subscription follows those criteria.
Hosting, security, email, and backup records may follow separate operational cycles. We delete or de-identify personal information when it is no longer needed for the purposes described here, unless law requires a longer period.
International processing
Uncain and its providers may process information in countries other than the one where you live. Where law requires a transfer safeguard, we use an applicable mechanism such as an adequacy decision or contractual protections. The protections and rights in this policy continue to apply to the information.
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live and subject to legal exceptions, you may ask to access, correct, delete, restrict, or receive a copy of personal information; object to certain processing; withdraw consent; or appeal our response to a request. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority.
You may unsubscribe from Drift Report at any time by using the unsubscribe method in a message or contacting us. We may verify a request before acting on it. We will not discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right.
Because the site does not currently sell personal information, share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, or use it for targeted advertising, a Global Privacy Control signal does not change how the site processes your information. We will honor legally required opt-out signals if those practices change.
Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures intended to protect personal information in light of its nature and the risks involved. No internet service is perfectly secure, so we cannot promise absolute security. Please do not send passwords, secret values, source code, private keys, or other sensitive system material through the Drift Report form or ordinary email.
Children
This business-focused site and Drift Report are not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided information through this site, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site, our practices, or the law changes. We will post the revised policy with a new effective date and provide additional notice or request consent when required for a material change.
