Accepting these terms

By accessing this site or subscribing to Drift Report, you agree to these Terms of Use and acknowledge our Privacy Policy and Cookie Notice. If you do not agree, do not use the site.

If you use the site for an organization, you confirm that you have authority to act for that organization. You must be legally able to enter into these terms where you live.

The website and Drift Report

Uncain publishes information about software-delivery trust, trust drift, containment, and products under development. Drift Report is a low-volume email publication. Subscribing does not create a customer relationship, guarantee product access, reserve capacity, or commit Uncain to a launch date, feature, price, support level, or service outcome.

The site is provided for general business and technical information. It is not legal, compliance, incident-response, or professional security advice for a particular environment.

Agentic systems and future services

Descriptions of trust graphs, agent runtime decisions, repository analysis, generated remediation, quarantine, or containment explain product direction. They do not authorize Uncain to access a repository, workflow, runner, package source, credential, secret, or other system. They also do not authorize Uncain to open, merge, or execute a change, or to interrupt a run.

Before an authenticated service is made available, separate service terms and notices will define its intended use, permissions, deterministic and model-assisted functions, customer inputs and outputs, model and infrastructure providers, retention, training or evaluation practices, security responsibilities, human review, approval and override controls, known limitations, and allocation of responsibility. If a signed service agreement conflicts with these website terms, the signed agreement controls for that service.

Do not rely solely on a site description, example, automated finding, or future model output to make a production change or a decision with legal or similarly significant effects on a person. Qualified people should review relevant evidence, test proposed changes, and retain appropriate approval, rollback, and interruption controls.

Permitted use

Uncain grants you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to access the public site for lawful internal evaluation, research, and informational use, subject to these terms.

• Do not attempt to gain unauthorized access to the site, its infrastructure, or another person's information.
• Do not interfere with operation, bypass access or rate controls, introduce malicious code, or use the site to distribute unlawful or harmful material.
• Do not misrepresent affiliation with Uncain, impersonate another person, remove ownership notices, or use Uncain marks in a way that suggests endorsement.
• Do not use automated access in a way that degrades the site, violates published crawler controls, or circumvents technical restrictions.
• Do not use the site or its content to violate law, infringe rights, enable unauthorized system access, or make deceptive claims about a product's security or provenance.

Ownership and permitted references

The site, its design, text, graphics, software, logos, and other content are owned by Uncain or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Except for the limited right to use the site under these terms, no right or license is granted by implication.

You may link to public pages and quote brief excerpts for commentary or reference when the use is lawful, accurate, attributed, and does not imply endorsement. Uncain names and logos may not be used as your brand, product name, or source identifier without written permission.

Messages and feedback

If you send feedback about the public site or a product idea, you allow Uncain to use it without restriction or payment, but you do not transfer ownership of confidential material merely by contacting us. Do not send source code, credentials, private keys, secret values, personal data about others, or information you are not authorized to disclose through Drift Report forms or ordinary email.

We may retain communications as described in the Privacy Policy. Subscription messages remain subject to the unsubscribe choices provided in those messages.

Third-party services and links

The site may link to third-party sites or depend on third-party infrastructure. Those services are governed by their own terms and privacy practices. A link does not mean Uncain endorses or controls the third party, and Uncain is not responsible for third-party content or availability.

Availability and changes

We may change, suspend, restrict, or stop any part of the public site or Drift Report. We do not promise that the site will always be available, current, complete, secure, or free of errors. We may correct content and remove access when reasonably needed to protect the site, users, Uncain, or others.

Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the public site and its content are provided as available and without warranties, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.

Uncain does not warrant that a described technique or future product will detect every change, vulnerability, malicious package, permission shift, or trust drift event; prevent every unsafe run; restore integrity; satisfy a legal or compliance requirement; or produce complete, accurate, secure, or unique output. Nothing here limits a warranty or right that law does not allow us to exclude.

Limits of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Uncain and its officers, employees, affiliates, and suppliers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business interruption arising from the public site or your reliance on its content.

These limits do not apply where liability cannot lawfully be limited or excluded, including any mandatory rights that apply to you. Product-specific liability, indemnity, service levels, data protection, confidentiality, and security commitments must be stated in the applicable service agreement, not inferred from this site.

Applicable law and disputes

A separate written agreement may specify governing law and a dispute process for an Uncain service. For a matter concerning only this public site, applicable law and the courts with legal authority determine the available rights and forum. Nothing in these terms removes mandatory consumer protections, prevents a report to a regulator, or requires informal resolution where the law gives you another right.

Before filing a site-related claim, we ask that you contact us and give us a reasonable opportunity to understand and address the issue.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the site or law changes. The revised terms will be posted with a new effective date. Material changes apply prospectively unless law permits otherwise. If a provision cannot be enforced, the remaining provisions continue to apply. A failure to enforce a provision once is not a waiver of it.
